Black Culture Week Host Committee (Black Culture Collective)
About the Committee
Host Committee members act as ambassadors for Black Culture Week. They embody the spirit of BCW, including one or more of the core elements of Black Culture Wellness, and participate in key areas of Black Culture Week while encouraging others to do the same.
Expectations
As a Host Committee member, you will be expected to:
- Promote Black Culture Week (through platforms of your choosing)
- Attend the flag raising, car caravan, or another marquee event
- Nominate and/or vote on Juneteenth / Black Culture Week honorees
- Raise money for BCW community engagement and future work (via an event, fundraiser, personal donation, bundling donations, etc.)
- Identify, facilitate, or connect the collective to opportunities that support the successful production of Black Culture Week
